The Homestead Nine...

On the Homestead 9, the old family farm house was located near Wilson Drive, just to the right and rear of the 8th green. The first few holes lead you through some lovely trees, and then you find yourself playing a few holes built into the gentle slopes of more open terrain. Still, it's not a good idea to stray too far from the intended path, since generous fescue areas and strategically placed bunkers can soon find you suffering the consequences of a wicked slice or hook. Pastoral views to the East, and some challenging "reads" on the greens will keep you awake on this Par 35 layout.

The finishing hole, affectionately called "The Chute" by some of our members, leads you back towards the clubhouse, through the trees, and over a creek to an elevated green. Not overly long, it can still "sneak up on you" if you get a little wild on direction!

As with our other nines, the yardage signs at the tees are carved into boulders that appeared as we sculpted the land for the course, and benches are made from the trees that had to come down. We made every effort to preserve the maximum possible number of the fully mature hardwoods, and evergreens throughout the property. An atmosphere of natural beauty permeates the surroundings, as you enjoy what are arguably among the best greens and general course conditions in the area.
