Sous Chef

Job Types: Full-time,

Vespra Hills Golf Club is looking to fill the position of Sous Chef. Under the direction of Executive Chef-will primarily be responsible for managing the kitchen department in lieu of the Executive Chef. The role will ensure all food prepared and served meets the clubs standards of excellence. This position will maintain familiarity with preparations and composition of all daily and catering menu items and provide food services to members and guests.

This roll will also assist with preparation of menus and daily specials, corporate functions and weddings. Also determine food and labour costs.

The Sous Chef must possess the following:

  • Food Handlers, Certification, Trade Certification preferred or equivalent job experience.

  • 3-5 years job related experience in similar position.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Computer knowledge.

  • Strong working knowledge of food service, methods, practices and techniques.

  • Experience in hotel and golf club kitchen preferred

Position is full-time seasonal, April-November.

Line cook

Job Types: Full-time,

Part-time, Temporary

Line cook will be under direction of head chef or sous chef on duty.

Position is seasonal, April-November.

Job Requirements & Duties:

  • Minimum 2 Years Experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong working knowledge of food service, methods, practices and techniques.

  • Duties may include assisting in food prep and helping the kitchen to stay clean and operational.
